Brain Health

Brain health is the overall function and maintenance of human cognition in the physical brain organ. This includes learning skills, memory and recall, language, spacial and math ability, along with executive function in the brain’s decision-making center, the prefrontal cortex. Brain health is largely affected by diet, exercise, exposure to toxins, and general lifestyle. The human brain is neurologically malleable by a phenomena called neuroplasticity, meaning that brain cells can be created and thus “rewired.” Thus mental games and exercises performed in everyday life have significant impact on keeping the brain sharp.
